Welcome to Snowsong Siberians & Cockapoos, a second-generation dog breeder located near Clinton in Southwestern Ontario. Our family’s experience raising dogs began in 1988, giving us decades of practical knowledge that continue to shape how we care for our parent dogs, raise our puppies and support their new families.

We specialize in family-raised Siberian Husky puppies and F1 and F1b Mini Cockapoo puppies for families across Ontario.

A Second-Generation Ontario Dog Breeder

Our family began raising dogs in 1988. Today, as second-generation dog breeders, we continue that tradition through Snowsong Siberians & Cockapoos.

Growing up around dogs provided us with firsthand experience in canine care, breeding, puppy development and the importance of matching each puppy with a suitable home. That experience cannot be gained overnight. It has taught us to value health, temperament, responsible breeding decisions and honest communication with every family.

Snowsong is owned and operated by Josh and Katherine McCarthy. We remain personally involved in our breeding program and are committed to raising healthy, happy and well-socialized puppies.

Our Approach to Natural Breeding

At Snowsong, we believe breeding should respect the natural reproductive process and prioritize the well-being of our dogs. We allow our dogs to mature appropriately, carefully monitor their health and reproductive cycles, and use natural breeding whenever it is safe, suitable and successful for the dogs involved.

We do not treat breeding as a production process. Each pairing is considered individually, taking into account health, temperament, genetic background, structure, size and overall suitability. We also consider whether a dog is physically and emotionally ready to participate in our breeding program.

Our parent dogs receive regular veterinary care, proper nutrition, exercise, companionship and individual attention. We believe healthy puppies begin with healthy, well-cared-for parents, and we make breeding decisions with the long-term welfare of both the parent dogs and their puppies in mind.

Natural breeding does not mean that every breeding is left entirely to chance. We carefully plan pairings, monitor our dogs and work with veterinary professionals when needed. If a natural breeding is not appropriate or does not occur successfully, the health and comfort of our dogs always come first.

Siberian Huskies are intelligent, energetic and people-oriented dogs known for their striking appearance and lively personalities. They can make wonderful companions for active families prepared to provide regular exercise, training and mental stimulation.

Our Siberian Husky parent dogs are selected with health, temperament and genetic background in mind. Our puppies are raised with regular handling and family interaction to help them develop into confident companions.

F1 and F1b Mini Cockapoo Puppies in Ontario

Mini Cockapoos combine the affectionate nature of the Cocker Spaniel with the intelligence and trainability of the Miniature Poodle. Their friendly personalities and manageable size make them popular companions for many Ontario families.

Snowsong specializes in F1 and F1b Mini Cockapoo puppies. Our breeding decisions consider the health, temperament, size and characteristics of each parent dog. Because every puppy is an individual, we also help families understand the possible differences in adult size, coat type and shedding.

How We Raise Our Puppies

Our goal is to raise Siberian Husky and Mini Cockapoo puppies that are prepared to become loved members of their new families. We focus on attentive care, regular handling, early social experiences and age-appropriate exposure to everyday household activity.

Before leaving Snowsong, every puppy receives:

• A complete veterinary health examination

• Their first age-appropriate vaccinations

• Deworming and parasite prevention

• A veterinary health record

• A one-year congenital genetic health guarantee

• Thirty days of complimentary Trupanion pet insurance

• Transition puppy food

• A collar and chew toy

• A Calmeroos comfort toy to make the transition easier

We remain available to answer questions and provide guidance as families prepare to welcome their new puppy home.

The Snowsong Partner Program

We believe a family-home environment can contribute to the happiness and well-being of our adult dogs. Through the Snowsong Partner Program, selected parent dogs live with responsible guardian families while remaining part of our carefully managed breeding program.

This approach allows our dogs to receive individual attention, family companionship, exercise and the comforts of home. Our guardian families are valued partners in raising healthy, well-adjusted parent dogs and puppies.

To protect the privacy of our guardian families and the health of young puppies, prospective families choose their puppies through photographs and information we provide before the puppies receive their first vaccinations.

Snowsong Siberians & Cockapoos is located near Clinton in Huron County, Ontario. We are approximately one hour north of London, west of Kitchener-Waterloo and within driving distance of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
