Second-Generation Ontario Cockapoo Breeders

Our family began raising dogs in 1988. Today, as second-generation dog breeders, we continue that tradition through the Snowsong Mini Cockapoo program.

Growing up around dogs provided valuable experience in canine care, breeding, puppy development and matching puppies with suitable homes. It also taught us that responsible breeding requires patience, careful planning and a lasting commitment to the parent dogs, puppies and families involved.

Snowsong is owned and operated by Josh and Katherine McCarthy. We remain personally involved in our breeding program and are committed to honest communication throughout the puppy-selection process.

Family-Raised F1 and F1b Mini Cockapoos

Our goal is to raise healthy, confident puppies prepared to become loved family companions. Snowsong puppies receive attentive daily care, regular handling and age-appropriate social experiences as they develop.

Our breeding decisions consider the health, temperament, size, structure and genetic background of each parent dog. Selected parent dogs live with loving guardian families through the Snowsong Partner Program, where they receive individual attention, exercise, companionship and family life.

We believe healthy puppies begin with healthy, well-cared-for parents.

F1 and F1b Mini Cockapoo Puppies

An F1 Cockapoo has a Cocker Spaniel parent and a Poodle parent. An F1b Cockapoo is generally produced by pairing an F1 Cockapoo with a Poodle.

Both generations can make affectionate family companions, but their size, coat texture and shedding can vary. Some puppies develop straighter or wavier coats, while others have curlier, more Poodle-influenced coats.

Many Cockapoos shed less than some other breeds, but no Cockapoo can be guaranteed to be non-shedding or hypoallergenic. Families with allergies should spend time around dogs before deciding whether a Cockapoo is suitable.

How Large Will a Mini Cockapoo Become?

Snowsong Mini Cockapoos commonly mature within an approximate 16-to-22-pound range. Final adult size depends on the puppy’s generation, parents, sex and individual development.

We can provide an estimated size range based on a puppy’s parents and early growth, but exact adult weight and height cannot be guaranteed.

Are Mini Cockapoos Good Family Dogs?

Mini Cockapoos are known for their affectionate, intelligent and people-oriented personalities. Their adaptable size can make them suitable for different living environments, provided they receive regular exercise, companionship, grooming and training.

Prospective families should be prepared to provide:

What is the difference between an F1 and F1b Cockapoo?

An F1 Cockapoo is produced from a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. An F1b Cockapoo is generally produced by pairing an F1 Cockapoo with a Poodle. Coat type, shedding and other characteristics can vary within both generations.

How large will my Mini Cockapoo become?
