Cockapoo Puppy Teething: A Natural Process

Teething is a natural but challenging phase for Cockapoo puppies, typically occurring between 3 to 6 months of age. During this time, their baby teeth fall out, and adult teeth grow in, often causing discomfort and a strong urge to chew.

To help your Cockapoo puppy through teething, provide durable chew toys, frozen carrots, or specialized teething treats to soothe their gums. We find a Kong is an excellent chew toy. Avoid letting them chew on inappropriate items like furniture or shoes by redirecting them to their toys. With dedicated chew toys available, most Cockapoo’s (or Husky’s) will quickly learn your furniture, shoes and household items are off limits.

Patience is key as teething can cause irritability and occasional drooling. Keep an eye out for signs of dental issues, like excessive bleeding or retained baby teeth, and consult your vet if needed. The first tooth falling out can be a shock, but remember this is normal. Every puppy experiences this transition.
